This position is offered by Gpi Engineering India Pvt. Ltd. based in Bangalore and supports the engineering and production teams in our European facilities.
What you’ll do
As a Work Preparation engineer, you support the Dutch work preparation and engineering teams by preparing, organizing, and managing production documentation required for manufacturing stainless steel process equipment. The role involves working closely with design engineers and production engineers to translate engineering drawings and technical specifications into clear and structured manufacturing documentation.
This role requires technical understanding of engineering drawings, Bill of materials and general manufacturing processes. You ensure that production documentation is up to date in the PLM | ERP system and ready for manufacturing release. You will work closely with international engineering teams to ensure production preparation runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
– Review and organize production drawings and technical documentation for manufacturing
– Review all Engineering released drawings and Bill of materials. Organize the engineering drawings as per production work flow and complete necessary system related documentation.
– Ensure that drawings and documentation meet manufacturing requirements and standards (upload all manufacturing drawings to ERP system and coordinate with production and work preparation manager.
– Coordinate with various engineering teams in the Netherlands (India and Europe for technical clarification, drawing updates) regarding documentation accuracy and updates.
– Monitor and report on the status of work preparation tasks.
We are specifically looking for candidates with technical understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
Our ideal colleague
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or similar technical field with minimum 2 years of experience..
- Ability to read and understand technical/production drawings
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good English communication skills (written and spoken)
- Ability to work in an international team environment
Preferred
- Experience working with ERP systems like Ridder IQ
- Familiarity with manufacturing or fabrication environments
- Experience supporting engineering or production teams
- Knowledge of 3D CAD tools.
