Natan Krasoń has been with Gpi Tanks Poland for over two years. As a Junior Project Engineer, he handles all technical aspects of tank projects. He chose Gpi because it offered opportunities to develop skills in his area of interest—industrial steel constructions. He began as a design engineer.
“Previously, I worked as a designer in a company creating structures for industrial facilities; as a fitter of structural elements in a company producing transport barges and ships; and briefly as a mechanical engineer in the pneumatics and hydraulics department of a company repairing machines used in railway construction” says Natan.
I Enjoy My Job
Challenges are a part of this profession. Each project is different, which eliminates monotony. “We create ‘tailor-made’ solutions adapted to our clients’ needs. Sometimes these involve minor technical aspects specific to a given project. This requires effort and a deep dive into documentation and the topic overall. For me, this is a positive as I learn something new with almost every project.” – Natan emphasizes. Switching roles brought new responsibilities and the need to learn how to coordinate numerous details. Mastering the profession has brought satisfaction, such as the ability to complete a project independently.
A major support for Natan has been the experienced team with high-level skills. He has improved in creating models using CAD software, gained experience in steel construction, and learned to coordinate various projects. Teamwork motivates him to continuously grow and improve.
Our company focuses on development and constantly streamlining internal processes. Communication is key to achieving this. Natan says – “I really value the openness of my colleagues. You can talk to anyone without any artificial barriers, making work much easier…”.
About the role
Precision in technical aspects, technical proficiency, energetic execution, communication skills, and resilience under pressure—whether facing deadlines or discrepancies—are the key traits for success in his role, according to Natan. The job demands high engagement, a willingness to learn, and readiness for unexpected challenges. Like in any role, asking questions is crucial.
The most valuable lessons have come from complex projects. One such project involved extensive client documentation with numerous specifications and standards. Despite the detailed guidelines, many details still needed to be clarified. Some client assumptions were impractical, requiring discussions and adjustments — an incredible lesson in attentiveness. Another challenging project involved integrating multiple structures (tanks, platforms, ladders, brackets, etc.). Collaboration with several designers provided invaluable learning.
Inspiration
Natan hopes to continue his career as an engineer, further developing his skills in project management, completing complex tasks, and teamwork to work even more efficiently. Professionally, he aims to expand his experience with stainless steel structures and various industrial constructions. He’s also interested in understanding the processes at clients’ factories to improve his effectiveness further.
In his free time, Natan enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing board games or soccer, and going on mountain hikes.
