This is what you will do
As a project manager you will supervise the execution of challenging (inter)national customer projects with a multidisciplinary project team from A to Z. A customer project can vary from building a single 2000m3 tank at a chemical plant in Norway to a large project of 20 tanks for a terminal for oils in the Botlek or in another large port. You are responsible for monitoring the project budget and agreeing more/less work with the client. You ensure the preparation and monitoring of the project planning. You take into account the technical specifications, quality and safety standards and practical logistical aspects. You are also responsible for the procurement of project-related outsourcing such as crane work, NDT, international transport, goods and personnel capacity. You are the first point of contact for our international clients and coordinate work with the various departments within the Gpi Group. You will work closely with the operations manager, technical buyer/work planner, lead engineer, HSE manager and QC manager. In short, a challenging international position in which you will make a significant contribution to the success of Gpi.
THIS is you
- You have at least 3 years of experience as a project manager in a technical company;
- You preferably have a completed HBO degree in Mechanical Engineering, Technical Business Administration or a relevant MBO-4 education. Additional training in project management is an advantage;
- You have a good command of the Dutch or English language in word and writing. Knowledge of the German language is an advantage;
- You are good at planning & organizing and have the necessary powers of persuasion. You are customer and result oriented, stress resistant, quality conscious and you can work well together;
- You are willing to travel internationally on a regular basis. In principle, the position does not require extended periods of residence abroad.
